Data Platform Summit Anti-Discriminatory & Anti-Harassment Policy

Data Platform Summit (DPS) fosters meaningful collaboration and networking between delegates, speakers, and knowledge partners. We value your attendance and hope that by communicating these expectations out widely we can all enjoy a hassle-free Summit that is welcoming to all.

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at DPS are expected to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event.

DPS is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, experience, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of Summit participants in any form.

Enforcement of Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Policy:

Prompt and appropriate action will be taken by DPS Team to politely and calmly interrupt or stop any presentation, event, or incident that repeatedly or seriously violates the anti-harassment and discrimination policy.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If a participant engages in harassing or discriminatory behavior, DPS Team retains the right to take any actions to keep the event a welcoming environment for all participants. This includes warning the offender or expulsion from the conference (with no refund).

Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material in promoting their organization or in communication with participants.

Reporting procedures:

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of DPS staff immediately. Contact information for the DPS team will be shared with all participants before the Summit.

Summit staff will be happy to help participants contact local law enforcement or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the Summit. We value your participation.

DPS Team will make every reasonable effort to conduct all complaints and investigations are treated confidentially to the extent possible, and information is disclosed strictly on a need-to-know basis. An investigation will be carried with discretion and respect the reputation of all parties involved.

If you have questions regarding this policy, you may send an email to contact[at]DPS10[dot]com. Please include the words “Anti-Harassment Policy” in the subject line.
